Decorate your windows with a pumpkin using the Chalk Marker Halloween set

To celebrate Halloween with a touch of creativity, what could be better than a terrifying pumpkin on your window? This original tutorial will guide you step-by-step through the process to scare passers-by and add a festive feel to your decoration. Ready to send out some scares?

For this tutorial, you will need:

- The Uni-Ball Chalk Marker Halloween set

- A piece of cardboard

- A damp cloth

Step 1: The material

To kick off this creative project, make sure you have the Uni-Ball Chalk Marker Halloween set to hand, which has the perfect colours to bring life to your pumpkin. 

Also make sure you have a piece of cardboard, which will be used to prime your markers before drawing on the windows. It also guarantees a fluid and regular line when starting.

Finally, have a damp cloth to hand to quickly erase any small errors and adjust the details of your design as you go. 

Step 2: Prime your markers

Let’s move on to step 2! Now everything is ready, take a chalk marker from the Uni-Ball Chalk Halloween set. Before using this on your window, first prime it on your piece of cardboard.

To do this, first shake the marker with the cap tightly fastened, then gently press the tip against the cardboard until the ink descends and colours the tip.

This simple gesture guarantees a fluid and regular line once on the window. Feel free to test a few lines on the cardboard to check that the colour comes out evenly.

Once this step is complete, you can then move on to decorating your window!

Step 3: Make your pumpkin with a nice stem

It is now time to design your pumpkin! Take the black Uni-Ball Chalk Marker and begin by drawing the outline of the pumpkin on the window.

For a more balanced effect, add some curves inside your pumpkin to represent the different parts.

Then, with the same marker, draw a pretty stem at the top. And for a more natural finish, make it slightly wavy, to add some character to your pumpkin.

Step 4: Add a devilish grin

Now it’s time to add some detail! With your black chalk marker, draw a large devilish mouth on your pumpkin, opting for some sharp teeth to guarantee a scare or two. You can then erase the curves over this section using your damp cloth.

Then add a small nose and some creepy eyes to round off the fearsome look of your pumpkin. Once more, simply erase the lines over these sections. Over to you to make your pumpkin as scary as possible!

Step 5: Add some colour

To make your pumpkin stand out, add some colour using your orange Chalk Marker. Strike through some of the parts of the pumpkin to give It some volume, without completely filling in the shape. This will make your design much more realistic.

Then add a few hints of purple to the stem for an original contrast. This choice of colours will be sure to make your pumpkin even more scary!

Step 6: A little message to give people a chill 

For this final step, take your white Chalk Marker to add a message to give passers-by a chill. Write in capital letters close to your pumpkin to make sure your message is easy to read.

And for an even more striking effect, play on the size and style of your text, adding some shade and shine.
