Customise a photo frame with Uni Chalk Markers

Today we’re going to personalise a small decorative object which we all quite often have at home to display our cherished memories: a photo frame. Thanks to the Uni Chalk Markers, which, although they’re resistant, can be erased very easily with a damp sponge, you can vary the patterns and the colours to suit you! For this spring, we’ve been inspired by the tropical plant world and we’ve opted for white and bright colours.

For this customisation, you will need:

• A frame (the material must be smooth and non-porous)

• Uni Chalk Markers (here we’ve chosen the PWE5M markers with medium 1.8 - 2.5mm points in White, Red, Fluorescent Pink)

• One or several reference patterns. If you want to use the patterns we’ve created, they’re available here

• A damp cloth or sponge in case you make a mistake

1st step: The Uni Chalk Marker will be your only tool. This chalk marker can be used indoors and outdoors as it is rain resistant. The range is available in 11 colours and with 4 different tips sizes, which are removable, washable and replaceable. So you’ll surely find what you need for your creations!

If we’ve chosen white, red and pink, you can of course create your own selection. Then decide on the patterns you want to draw on your frame and their position. Flowers, leaves... once again, anything is possible!

Here are the four patterns we’ve created:

2nd step: It’s time to get started! One by one, using the fluorescent pink, red and white markers, trace the different leaves onto each of the four corners of the frame.

Have no fear: if you’re not completely satisfied with your lines, just go over it with a damp sponge or cloth and start again. The Uni Chalk Marker is also ideal for any little ones who also want to try customising something!

3rd step: To complete your creation, let your imagination guide you and add some details. We’ve chosen to decorate the designs with small white lines for a more modern and harmonious effect.

And voilà, your personalised frame is now finished. Now you just need to add your photo, illustration or something else and admire your work!
