Create a filter frame with Chalk Markers

Have you decided on your Halloween costume yet? If the answer is no, we’ve got a fun, simple and original last minute solution for you! How does making a Halloween filter sound? If you’re tempted, get out your Chalk Markers, a frame and let’s get started!
For this tutorial, you will need:
- A glass picture frame
- Chalk Markers (1.8-2.5mm tip)
- A damp cloth
1st step: The materials
For this new tutorial, you don’t need a lot of materials. You just need a Chalk Marker (we’ve chosen the classic white and red), a damp cloth and a glass picture frame!
And as a bonus, you can, like us, decorate your frame with a fake spider’s web!
2nd step: The points of reference
To start off, using a white Chalk Marker, mark out some reference points, namely the eyes, nose and mouth. These points will help you to properly put the filter elements in place so that they perfectly match the contours of your face.
For this step, get someone to help you or stand in front of a mirror. You can try again as many times as you like so you can get the perfect reference points. The advantage of our markers is that they can be erased from any non-porous surface. You just need to wipe it with a damp cloth to erase the lines, so you can easily start again until you get the desired result.
3rd step: Draw the filter elements
Using our Chalk Markers (here we’re using white and red, 1.8-2.5mm tip), draw the elements while following the points.
Obviously you’ll have to draw the nose, the mouth then the eyes.
Here, it’s a Halloween clown!
4th step: Wipe with a damp cloth
Then, erase the points which are still visible. On a smooth and non-porous surface, our markers don't stick and can be erased with a simple wipe of a damp cloth!
5th step: The final result!
It’s finished already! Quick and effective, right? You’re finally ready for Halloween and you’ve already got some photo ideas in mind...
After the clown, you can think up other filters!
