Create a Mother’s Day Bookmark with EMOTT Pens

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create a simple, heartfelt DIY bookmark. It’s the perfect little gift to slip into a bedside book and say “I love you” in a unique way. What You’ll Need:

• A sheet of white cardstock

• A Shalaku S mechanical pencil

• A ruler

• A pair of scissors

• Your selection of EMOTT felt-tip pens

Ready? Let’s get started!

Step 1: Draw Guides and Sketch Your Design

To keep your bookmark neat and straight, grab your white cardstock, Shalaku S pencil, and a ruler! As for dimensions, go with what feels right — we suggest a height of 15 to 20 cm and a width of about 5 to 7 cm.

Don’t forget to sketch a small rectangle inside your bookmark — you’ll need it later...

Once your outline is ready, it’s time to sketch! Draw a design that speaks to you. We went with elegant roses and added a few leaves for a nice variety.

Step 2: Add Color

Grab your EMOTT felt-tip pens and start coloring your design. We used green for the leaves, a few orange shadows, soft pink for the flowers, and some extra lines to add realism.

Feel free to play with color combinations to create depth and shadow effects!

Step 3: Write a Sweet Message

Remember that small rectangle you drew earlier? Now’s the time to fill it in.

Write a heartfelt message that will touch your mom’s heart. You know her best — we trust you’ll come up with just the right words.

We stayed in the floral theme with “The most beautiful flower” — too sweet, right?

Step 4: Cut It Out

You’re almost done — time to bring your creation to life!

Grab your scissors and carefully follow the outline.

Tadaaaaa! Your personalized bookmark is now in your hands.

Step 5: Erase the Pencil Marks

Before you give it as a gift, take a moment to erase any visible pencil lines. The Shalaku S mechanical pencil comes with a handy built-in eraser — perfect for finishing touches.
