Custo idea, the SIGNO / POSCA denim jacket

The denim jacket, a classic wardrobe essential!

Super versatile, it goes with just about everything… and what’s more, it can be customised easily!

What you need to customise your jacket

  • Tracing paper
  • A mechanical pencil
  • Clothes pegs
  • POSCA markers
  • SIGNO glitter and/or metallic rollerballs
  • An iron
  • If you absolutely want to reproduce this Lion's head, here is the template to download

Step by step

  1. Print the template or choose the drawing you want to reproduce and copy it using tracing paper.
  2. Fix your clothing item to a table using the clothes pegs so that the part of the fabric to be covered is stretched taut.
  3. Using the tracing paper, transfer the outlines of the drawing onto your clothing item.
  4. Begin with the fill-in using the POSCA markers with the colours you have chosen. To ensure the clearest possible result, always start by the fill-in. The final outlines (either in the same colour or in a different colour) must always be done next in order to delimit the solid colour planes perfectly.
  5. Once the POSCA paint is dry (a few minutes), take your Signo rollerballs and add texture and relief to your drawing, either with solid planes or with details, depending on the chosen design. The SIGNO colours will superimpose themselves nicely on the POSCA colours.
  6. Last important step! Don't forget to iron your garment inside out without steam, at medium temperature (iron on mark 2) to fix all the colours.

And that’s it, your jacket has now been transformed into a unique model just for you!

This easy custo DIY can be adapted to your tastes and other types of clothing.
