Customise your very own terrazzo-effect pot with Uni PAINT

Terracotta pots are a true classic, but how about jazzing them up with a wonderful terrazzo-effect? This coating, which is typically made from fragments of coloured stone or marble, and stuck together using cement, has become the latest trend and is much coveted as a decorative item.
So how about giving free reign to your creativity and bringing newfound life to your pots. Whether in your garden or in the home, you can bring an original and colourful touch to your decoration!
For this tutorial, you will need:
- A terracotta pot
- Uni PAINT permanent markers
- A Premium pencil
Step 1: What you need
To customise your very own pot with a wonderful terrazzo-effect, first choose a terracotta pot in the desired size. You will also need a premium pencil to start and trace your lines, and then different colour Uni PAINT markers to personalise your pot design.
Be sure to choose colours which match your decoration, whether neutral, bright or even metallic for a wonderful trendy effect. You will not struggle to find what you want from amongst the 15 colours available!
Step 2: Start with your design
Using the Premium pencil, begin by drawing your design directly onto the terracotta pot. These pencil lines will be a useful guide when applying your colours later. To achieve an authentic terrazzo-effect, try using irregular shapes and designs.
Step 3: Terrazzo-effect colours
Now to bring your pot to life, begin filling in each design using your Uni PAINT markers. Thanks to their inalterable pigment-based paint, your creation will stand up to the cold, heat, light and even water. Play with different shades to imitate the stone effect so characteristic of traditional terrazzo designs. You can even add some bright colours for an extra touch of creativity!
Step 4: The end result
There you have it! Your terracotta pot is now personalised with a wonderful trendy terrazzo-effect! You can now sit back and admire your work and add it to your decorations. Feel free to experiment with different styles and designs to personalise more pots.
