Customise a cushion with the SIGNO roller gel pens

Want to change your décor a little for spring?

Here’s a tutorial to inspire you! Today we’re going to help you to customise cushions to your taste, to bring a breath of fresh air to your bedroom or your living room for example. It could be a cushion you already have which needs a new lease of life or even a cover bought for the occasion. The SIGNO roller gel pens, being multi-surface pens and ideal for hobby projects, are perfect for this type of textile DIY.

 Tutorial level: Beginner / Advanced / Expert 

For this customisation tutorial, you will need:

• A fabric cushion cover

• Metallic or silver SIGNO roller gel pens

• A sheet of paper for your draft

• An iron to set the colours

1st step: Once you’ve selected the SIGNO roller gel pens you want to use, first take a piece of paper and create a pattern you’d like to use on your cushion cover. 

This is important because their indelible ink cannot be erased to start again.

For our creation, we’ve opted for leaves with an elegant and graphic style...

2nd step: Are you ready to get serious? Let’s move on to drawing on the cover. In order to draw your lines with ease, consider removing it from the cushion and laying it flat on a stable surface.

We also advise you to place a sheet of paper inside your cover, under the space you want to customise.

Then take advantage of the intense and covering colours of our creative Signo roller pens and their quick drying for a more pleasant drawing experience and a more satisfying result!

3rd step: Before putting your cover on the cushion, it is important to iron your creation inside out (with a non-steam iron) in order to properly set the colours.

4th step: You can now put your cover back over the cushion and admire the result!
