Customise a fabric bag for your kids’ outings

The holidays are nearly here! You’ve most certainly got a fabric bag lying around in the house... Why not customise it so it never leaves your side this summer? Your child can even join in. A perfect opportunity to enjoy a creative activity together before s/he heads off on an adventure with the new bag in hand. Perfect for visits to granny and grandad, or for heading off to summer camp, we show you exactly how with Signo!

For this tutorial, you will need:

• A plain fabric bag

• Signo roller balls

• Our template available to download

1^st step: The materials

A beautiful customised bag is what we are going to teach you to make in this new tutorial!

It is often said with very little, you can do a lot. For this DIY creation, you simply need a fabric bag, ideally clear or dark as our roller balls are clearly visible regardless of the background colour. Along with our downloadable template and Signo roller balls, pastel, metallic or sparkling, you have endless choice in your colourful creation.

2^nd step: Insert the template

To begin customising your fabric bag, simply begin by inserting the template inside.

This will be used as a template over which you can replicate the design perfectly!

3^rd step: Trace over the template

Using the template, trace over the design using Signo roller balls.

To write in colours and for any template requiring precision and care, these roller balls are the ideal tool. With unalterable ink, they are quick drying and provide a perfectly clear and stunning result.

4^th step: Add a touch of colour

Fill in your design using the Signo creative roller balls.

Depending on the colours you have chosen, they will be bright, sparkling and luminescent, full of intense reflections or sparkling fluidity which will simply shine on your fabric.

There are no limits, so enjoy!

5^th step: Almost there...

Simply remove the template. And you’re almost there.

6^th step: Fix the colours

This is the most crucial step!

For your creation to last over time, simply iron the reverse side of the fabric bag, without steam. Rest assured that your design will now stay intact.

7^th step: The final result!

There you have it!

You’ve successfully transformed your fabric bag into a customised colourful creation! Your child’s bag is now ready to take anywhere and everywhere, up to you to simply complete this tutorial with any other templates you love.
