Floral lettering with Uni Pin

How does a little floral lettering sound?

Designing letters is an art form in itself! In this new tutorial, we will show you a writing technique in the language of flowers. With the chisel tip Uni-Pin liners, nothing could be simpler! To decorate postcards, school books or just for fun, follow this tutorial.

You will need:

• A blank sheet of paper

• The template (download)

• Uni Pin felt tips (chisel tips)

• A Shalaku S mechanical pencil
  

• A ruler

Step 1: Material

Our Uni-Pin felt tips need no presentation! For both writing and drawing, they allow you to draw clean, precise and permanent lines.

As you will see, they are essential for this tutorial, and you’ll need the chisel tips. You will also need a blank sheet of paper, the downloadable template, a Shalaku S mechanical pencil and a ruler!

Step 2: The edges

Begin by drawing the edges of the chosen letter using our Shalaku S mechanical pencil.

Thanks to its side-click lead advance and ergonomic shape for ideal handling, this pencil allows you to draw precise and high-quality lines. And on the off chance you make a mistake, you can use the built-in rubber.

Step 3: Watch it begin to grow...

Then, fill in your letter alternating between the chisel tips. Three sizes are available from 1mm to 3mm. These different nib sizes will be very useful! They will allow you to vary the thickness of lines to form a harmonious and delicate image.

Useful tip: with the same felt tip, you can vary the thickness of the lines depending on the angle of the nib and direction of drawing!

Step 4: Finishing touches

Your design is almost complete, rub out the pencil outline so you can only see the template.

Step 5: The end result!
