Make a card for the new year with the creative Signo rollerball pens

We’ve turned the page on 2021! Now we move on to 2022 and all the wonderful surprises that we hope this year has in store for us! In this tutorial we suggest making your entire card, with a personalised design using the creative Signo pens, their covering and bright colours are perfectly adapted to dark papers…

Tutorial level: Beginner / Advanced / Expert

For this tutorial, you will need:

• A sheet of card stock, in a dark colour

• Creative Signo rollerball pens
  

• A set square

1^st step: the materials

The creative Signo rollerball pens are already a joy to use on white paper… but they’re even more astonishing on dark paper, perfect for allowing their coloured, glittery pastel or even metallic shades to come out even better!

Classic white and covering gold, not forgetting metallic green, choose the selection you like and away we go!

Sheet, set square and Signo rollerball pens, that’s all you need to bring your card to life!

2^nd step: a beautiful frame

First, start by drawing a frame on your sheet of paper with the help of your set square and a Signo rollerball pen, we’ve chosen white.

This will mark out the drawing area to decorate your card and make it unique!

3rd step: festive designs

You now have free rein for any designs you want all along the interior borders of your frame.

We suggest starting in the four corners, so that it won't be awkward filling them in afterwards. The Signo rollerball pens’ quick-drying ink allows you to get your ideas down on paper quickly.

Snowflakes, stars and other decorative items, let your imagination guide you and do what you want by alternating the colours, this will make the result even better!

4^th step: a new year begins!

In the centre of your decorated frame, the empty space is quickly filled with the new year: 2022!

Taking your time, and practising beforehand with a pencil if needed, trace these four figures with the Signo rollerball pen. We suggest a glittery or metallic pen, which will reflect the light and provide texture. Have you made your choice?

5^th step: your card is ready to be sent!
