The ingenious retractable version has a lock system for the rubber developed by the Mitsubishi Pencil R&D team which makes the transition between the writing/erasing phases easier. The retractable mechanism is blocked depending on the pen position: tip downwards, just “click” to make the tip come out or retract but tip up, the mechanism blocks to fix the rubber in place and allow you to erase with ease!
